In addition we can help with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Project and have a lot of experience with various software systems for the Construction Industry.
We do not just supply a short-term solution for you and then disappear, as we feel it is important to use our many years of experience to build a close working relationship with our customers and to discover exactly how you can get the most from IT and the internet over a period of years.
The company was established at the beginning of 2005 by Alan Harrisr. After over 25 years working in the IT Departments of large companies, Alan decided to create a consultancy company that would concentrate on helping small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with their use of IT and the Internet. To help achieve this the company works with a number of partners to provide the right solution for the client’s needs.
After starting in IT as a computer programmer, Alan has also spent many years as an analyst, project manager and IT manager for a number of multi-million pound companies and for about 15 years had permanent roles within the UK Construction Industry for 2 large contractors, Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd and Vinci Plc.
In 2004 Alan became a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner to formalise his project management expertise.
Alan has been involved in the implementation of many large software packages, covering Accounts & Finance, Project Costing, Payroll and Human Resources. He has also been involved in the implementation of groupware/intranet systems, Document Management and Management Reporting systems and has a lot of experience in database design and management.
After doing some work for a construction software supplier, Causeway Technology, Alan has more recently done some consultancy work for other large construction companies such as WS Atkins, Skanska, Amey and the GB Group.
