About Us

New Leaf Business Solutions used to be AH Business Systems and was established at the beginning of 2005 by Alan Harris near Luton on the Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire border. After over 25 years working in the IT Departments of large companies, Alan decided to create a company that would concentrate on helping small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) with their use of IT and the Internet. To help achieve this the company works with many development partners to provide products ideally suited to help SMEs with the development and management of web sites and internal “intranets”.

After starting in IT as a computer programmer, Alan has many years experience working in management roles. He has covered IT, Systems and Project Management for a number of multi-million pound companies and for about 15 years worked within the UK Construction Industry for 2 large contractors.

In 2004 Alan became a PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner for his project management expertise.

Alan has been involved in the implementation of many large software packages, covering Accounts & Finance, Project Costing, Payroll and Human Resources. He has also been involved in the implementation of groupware/intranet systems, Document Management and Management Reporting systems and has a lot of experience in database design and management.

In 2005 Alan became a Senior Accredited Partner with the International Confederation for Business Advancement. This association of over 250 business experts around the world allows us to offer all forms of help to small businesses.
